(jd) A 29-year-old man from Bad Salzuflen was driving his BMW motorcycle on Herforder Straße in the direction of Exter at 9.05 p.m. on Sunday (10 August) and intended to turn left onto Neue Landstraße. At the junction, he lost control of his motorcycle on cereal grains on the road and skidded. The man crashed onto the road. The accident caused damage to the left side of the motorcycle. Witnesses who can provide information about the incident are asked to contact the Herford police traffic department on 05221/8880.
In this context, the Herford police would like to point out that larger agricultural machinery is currently on the road. Drivers and other road users should therefore drive at an appropriate speed and keep as large a safety distance as possible. Overtaking maneuvers should only be carried out if they are possible without danger and there is a clear view - the length and width of the machine and trailer should not be underestimated.
