The NRW Ministry of the Interior's "Coffee with a Cop" format is making stops at various locations throughout NRW. Citizens can talk to the police in a relaxed atmosphere. In today's fast-paced world, we like to take the time to talk to you. We will also be serving coffee, hot chocolate, tea or, for the little ones, a milk foam at a vintage truck. Whether it's just a simple question or a tip, a concern or perhaps even a career aspiration - we are available for everything. Come by, visit us, talk to us! The concept is not new - and yet it is a novelty for the police in North Rhine-Westphalia. The original idea came from the USA. Here, "cops" have been offering citizens a coffee for several years.
With the campaign "NRW shows respect!", the North Rhine-Westphalian Ministry of the Interior is setting an example against violence against police officers. As a first step, pins with the slogan "NRW shows respect!" were produced and distributed. A further step is the "Coffee with a cop" series. You can obtain the pins from the emergency services on site. NRW shows respect for emergency services. It is time to set an example together. For thousands of police, firefighters and emergency services in our state. They ensure safety, they serve society - but they are increasingly being insulted and attacked.
